Stanley Park, Liverpool
This famous park which divides the two Liverpool football clubs has been recently revamped with Burnaby Stone Care Ltd. being asked to carry out the delicate cleaning works to the soft red sandstone features throughout the park.
A variety of specialist techniques were employed to combat the differing nature of the cleaning works required and included:-

Fire and smoke damage removal works

Poultice cleaning

Graffiti removal and protection

Cleaning to all internal/external boundary walls, bridges, pavilions/bandstands and gatehouse utilising the DOFF Superheated Water System.

Low pressure (15 psi) wet abrasive system to remove rendered areas of the sandstone utilising a fine medium (4 Mohs)
resulting in the stonework’s magnificent colour returning for all to see.
